Bricks and Blocks Walking Tour
Saturday, September 5, 2026 at 9am— 10B Crescent Rd.
Pre-registration required via Eventbrite.
This tour highlights historic Greenbelt’s domestic architecture — the “brick and block” homes that make up most of the original planned community. Your guide will show you how to “read” these homes and point out spots of historic interest not featured on previous tours.
The tour leaves from the Greenbelt Museum at 10-B Crescent Rd. and takes about 2 hours, including the museum’s orientation film. Afterward, guests can visit the interior of the historic home. Dress for walking outdoors — space is limited to 12 people. Tours don’t run in thunder/lightning or above 95°F. If weather forces a cancellation, you’ll be notified via Eventbrite.
Retro Town Fair

Sunday, September 6, 1pm–4pm — 10B Crescent Rd.
Modeled on the fairs early Greenbelters enjoyed starting in 1939. Ribbons awarded for best entries in flowers, vegetables, baked goods, canned goods, and needlework/sewing. Entries accepted 10am–11:30am with a completed submission form (see below for the form); on display 1–4pm; pickup 4–5pm. Mini Historic House Tours
Sunday, September 6, 1pm–5pm

Quick tours of the historic house! Come walk through our exhibition about America's 200th in 1976 and explore what patriotism looked like then! Free. Note: the house will not be open following the Labor Day Parade this year.
