On August 24, we hosted the Prince George's African American Museum and Cultural Center (PGAAMCC) as they held their Community Chest event at the Greenbelt Community Center. Dr. Synatra Smith (above) and her staff had different stations that encouraged attendees to share their migration stories, oral histories, and family treasures. They also shared items from their collection in a pop-up museum that attendees could be a part of as well. We look forward to partnering with them for events in the future!
