On May 2, Stephanie Fleming, Vice President of Behnke Nurseries (and granddaughter of the founders) gave a Greenbelt Museum lecture about the history of the beloved local institution, which closed its gates this past weekend after 89 years. It is now available to watch above or on the City of Greenbelt's YouTube channel. Behnke Nurseries is a local institution beloved in the area and patronized by generations and unfortunately, in June, the popular garden center will be closing after 89 years.
