Deco the Halls, Our Annual Open House Returns!

Deco the Halls Returns!

Deco the Halls, our annual holiday open house, returns this year! After skipping 2020 and 2021, we're so pleased to welcome everyone back to the historic house at 10B Crescent Friday, December 2 from 7:30pm-9pm. As always, the house will be full of sparkling vintage holiday decorations (we proudly display both a Christmas tree and a menorah). We'll also have a pop up gift shop in 10A Crescent next door. No tickets or pre-registration is required for this event and it immediately follows the City's tree lighting in Roosevelt Center. We hope you'll also plan to attend Sparkle Mart, the city's juried art and craft fair which takes place in the Community Center Saturday, December 3 from 10am-5pm and Sunday, December 4 from 10am-4pm. Mother and Child statuettes are back in stock and we have a new ornament for 2022 which features a sketch by Greenbelt cartoonist, Izzy Parker. Click here for more information about the fair.

Please note: due to an error, this blog post was published AFTER the event it advertises. We apologize for any inconvenience. The Museum house open for tours the next two Sundays, click here for tickets. Thank you.

Community Pledge

The strength of Greenbelt is diverse people living together in a spirit of cooperation. We celebrate all people. By sharing together all are enriched. We strive to be a respectful, welcoming community that is open, accessible, safe and fair.

Preserving and sharing the New Deal history of an experimental planned community built by FDR in suburban Maryland in 1937 and still thriving today.
