We Are A Blue Star Museum!

The Greenbelt Museum is pleased to announce that we are a Blue Star Museum! This summer, the Greenbelt Museum Historic House at 10B Crescent Road is participating in Blue Star Museums, granting free admission with valid military ID for currently Active military members and their families.

The program started on May 18 (Armed Forces Day) and will continue throughout the summer until Labor Day on September 2, 2019. “We've seen the tremendous impact the Blue Star Museums program brings to our military families, and we're thrilled to be celebrating a decade of support,” said Kathy Roth-Douquet, chief executive officer of Blue Star Families. “Not only are museums fun to explore but are also great for making memories and strengthening military families as a whole.”

Blue Star Museums is an initiative of the National Endowment for the Arts in collaboration with Blue Star Families, the Department of Defense, and more than 2,000 museums nationwide. This year’s participating organizations include fine art, science, history, and children’s museums, as well as zoos, aquariums, gardens, and more. Museums are welcome to join us by signing up for Blue Star Museums throughout the summer at arts.gov. Other Maryland house museums that are participating are Hammond-Harwood House, William Paca House, Evergreen Museum & Library, Homewood, Historic Sotterley, Montpelier, Riversdale, Surratt House, and the Star-Spangled Banner Flag House.
